AGRICULTURE

Most of the Regional economies are  dependant on rain-fed Agriculture. It is in this regard that IMTR offers agricultural Courses. The courses include:-

a) Course in Applied Agricultural Meteorology  (CAAM)
(Formerly called Specialized course in Agrometeorology)

The aim of the course is to provide and to broaden knowledge of the trainees so that they will be able to offer practical solutions to agricultural problems faced by many developing countries.The course is offered to both WMO classes I and II meteorologists or persons with working experience in the agricultural field.

b) Statistics in Applied Climatology (SIAC)

This course provides a sound training in the statistical and computing skills needed to analyze climatic data for agricultural and water resource management purposes, for both operational and research applications.
