Following the introduction of Meteorology into the National School
Curriculum, the Kenya Meteorological Department has been open to
schools and educational institutions wishing to visit us for educational
purposes. Meteorology is an ideal cross-curriculum activity covering physical
science, geography and mathematics. Weather Forecasting and climate analysis
material is provided by the Meteorological Department by way of bronchures,
leaflets and lectures in schools by our experts. The department can also
offer training for organised groups of school teachers who wish to further
their understanding of meteorology at the department's Institute
for Meteorological Training and Research.
